Pizza Chains to Watch in 2007

Year end is upon us. Time for predictions of up and comers for next year. Pizza Marketplace leads off way before Christmas with their pick of three franchise pizzeria systems to watch in 2007.
  • The market changer, Little Caesars Pizza. After warring with its independent franchise association that put the chain in retreat, Little Caesars seems to have listened and learned. The launch of its $5 baked and ready pepperoni pizza has helped same-store-sales soar some 11 percent. Its future looks bright.
  • The fresh face, RedBrick Pizza. There are few pizza players in the fast-casual market and RedBrick plans to capitalize on that. RedBrick plans to build a behemoth franchise system of some 12,000 units by 2016.
  • Gourmet AND right away, Garlic Jim's. Some neighborhoods are at the high-end of finickiness. This gourmet pizza chain was invented to serve markets that do not mind paying $12 for a cheese pizza and are willing to pay a premium for delivery by a clean-cut, service-minded driver.
