Shopworn to Fresh: Franchise Brand Rejuvenation
Australian sales are weak while hungry rivals crowd the gate. Seismic change may seem like the last thing a serious franchise would want to pursue right now, yet several high-profile franchises have started overhauling their brand in the past 12 months.
Dymocks, Wendy's and Pizza Hut are among those franchises looking to harvest sales from a broader market by jazzing up their image. Incrementally or through a substantial overhaul, these groups are changing tired logos, revamping outdated colours, renewing packaging and updating staff uniforms to attract new customers.
And so far, it's working.
