SportyBeans Consults Francorp for Advice on Its Pan-India Expansion

SportyBeans, runs sports based play program for preschool and primary school children in the age group of 2.5 to 8 years old. The program is taught in a caring, safe, fun filled environment and there are never more than 18 children per class. The aim is not to teach the sport but to make the child have fun and make his/her first introduction to sport exciting and memorable. The group is passionate about giving children, through sport, a solid foundation from which to develop many aspects of their lives. Apart from physical improvements, it carefully develops life skills, such as confidence, concentration, social interaction, sportsmanship values and many more, in a caring and fun environment.

At SportyBeans, It is believed that children develop their skills best when they are playing with other children of similar age and ability. As such, SportyBeans separates kids into three distinct age groups, which encourage each child to maximize his/her involvement and development. Currently, there is no such program all over India which focuses on introducing pre & primary school children to sports and instils the basics of sports based activities into them. This is what is believed to be the biggest USP with the company

From the Franchisee point of view, this is a low investment and high return business model, which a franchisee can take up as an additional avenue of income, as it requires a maximum of 3-4 hours per day at the upper end of the learning curve. SportyBeans currently run 1 centre and are in the process of taking admissions for its 2nd centre. In a small period of 8 months, SportyBeans has achieved an enrolment of 80 students at their center1SportyBeans is looking towards signing up at least 50 centres in the next two years, each with an average enrolment strength of 40-60 kids.  There could be 2 broad categories of target Franchisee: 1. Existing pre-school having the requisite space and 2. Husband-wife who have the passion for Sports, are fitness enthusiast & love to spend their time with kids.

SportyBeans has entrusted Francorp with the work to develop a sustainable model & growth plan for the proposed business format.

Commenting upon this association, Mr. Gaurav Marya, Managing Director, Francorp, said, “Francorp will assist SportyBeansin establishing feasibility of the concept; propose a sustainable business model for future, positioning, financial assessment of the franchise business, franchisee profiling, potential market & roll out strategy. “
