Squelching Blogs a Bad Idea
Unleashing your attorney on individuals who blog about you or your company is a huge mistake. First engage these people and attempt to find out what their complaint is and why.
I personally handled a franchisor that was receiving MANY complaints on this and other major blogs about the timing of a buyout. Once I took over I produced a release containing the facts, a timeline and a contact for disgruntled zees to go to at corporate who would produce certain documents proving the timing of this buyout.
This made the frustrated franchisees at least feel engaged and as though they mattered.
