Subway Gains New Weight Loss Spokesperson
Just as Subway’s decade long weight loss spokesperson, Jared Fogle, has been seen gaining weight over the holidays, Doctor's Associates, Inc. announces that the subway sandwich chain will add one more voice to market its sandwiches as the healthier choice. This time it is Shay Sorrells of NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
Sorrells began the season as the heaviest contestant in the show’s eight-season history, weighing 476 pounds. During last night's season finale, her total weight loss for the season was 172 pounds. (See her new look on Facebook.) Subway restaurants offered Sorrells $1,000 for every pound she loses between today and the Season 9 finale of The Biggest Loser in May 2010. She will serve as a spokesperson for Subway restaurants in 2010 alongside Jared Fogle, who in 1998 experienced a 245-pound weight loss, crediting Subway sandwiches and exercise as key factors in changing his lifestyle. - QSRWeb
