Fans enter to win fresh fruit arrangements for others; campaign to end April 30th
WALLINGFORD, Conn. (April 25, 2013) – Since April 1, more than 10,000 Edible Arrangements® fans have shared stories on Facebook for a chance to make someone's life a little sweeter. The social media campaign supports the launch of Edible Arrangements® new Make Today a Little Sweeter™ collection, and includes a month long giveaway of free arrangements from the new collection.
"We wanted to create a giveaway that was simple to enter, but we also wanted to engage our fans and encourage them to explore this new product collection," said Melanie Martinez, Social Media Strategist.
To enter, guests 'like' the Edible Arrangements®' Facebook page, then, explain who they would like to Make Today a Little Sweeter™ for, which new arrangement they would give them, and why that person is so deserving.
"The goal in creating this giveaway was to increase awareness and create buzz around this new collection of gifts that are perfect for everyday gifting," added Martinez. "Because these new fruit arrangements are so shareable, and our 650,000 Facebook fans are so passionate, we felt a giveaway on social media was a natural fit."
Edible Arrangements® has promoted the Make Today a Little Sweeter™ giveaway on all of its social media outlets and in national email campaigns. To date, more than 10,000 nominations have been submitted, and Edible Arrangements® earned nearly 15,000 new "likes" on Facebook. Posts related to this promotion have resulted in over one million impressions. Click through from Facebook to EdibleArrangements.com is up 3 percent over the same timeframe as last year.
