Vendor Requires Quiznos Franchisees Pay in Advance

The bodacious bird has spotted postings on the Toasted Subs Franchisee Association (TSFA) website, the independent trade group for Quiznos franchisees. Quiznos supplier HFS/Havi is now requiring that all Chicago market stores must prepay for their orders either by wire transfer or overnight cashier's check before their delivery is released. The vendor cites the reason being that fifty percent of the Chicago market is behind on their payments to the vendor.  One observer states that this will effectively put a massive number of stores out of business starting July 19th.

Another posting states that it appears that the food distributor is going out of business and Quiznos is looking for a new replacement. The blogger says this will no doubt create a hardship for sub sandwich shop owners.
