World Champion Pizza Eater

On May 18, challenger Takeru Kobayashi of Tokyo took on food chowing champion Joey Chestnut from San Jose for the Pizza Hut P’Zone Chow-lenge, er, challenge. With five and half P'Zone's under his belt, Kobayashi took this year's title.

The little lad from Japan out ate the big burly brute from the U.S.

Both parties have now had over a month to recover. That’s just in time for the July 4th Nathan's world hot dog eating championship on Coney Island this week. Last year Kobayashi lost after a jaw operation weighed him down. This year he looks in rare form.
