Writers Can Now Turn Off Comments
A new function has been activated in news articles and blogs (advice columns, op-ed pieces, personal journals) to give our citizen journalists more flexibility in publishing. Members can now turn off comments — all comments, not selective comments — for the single article in which they have enabled or disabled the function. Other articles by the author will not be affected.
Members — go to the edit tab of your article, select "comment settings" toward the bottom of the middle of the page, and then click on one of the following choices:
- Disable comments (no comment can be posted to your article)
- Read only (no new comments can be written)
- Read / Write (comments are fully enabled)
Those who are not registered members (free) cannot publish news articles, blogs, events and podcasts. However, guests can freely write in forum posts and article comments, where writers have enabled public comments.
