NY Private Equity Firm Acquires Dwyer Group

New York-based private equity firm Harvest Partners LP has acquired Dwyer Franchising, LLC of Texas, a group of 20 home service franchising brands. The amount of the deal for the Dwyer Group was not disclosed.

The acquisition will not only impact Dwyer’s franchising firms but also some 3,200 franchisees in the United States and eight other countries that are affiliated with one of Dwyer’s home service franchisors.

Harvest’s acquisition, which was announced on Monday, transfers the majority ownership of the Dwyer Group from private equity firm The Riverside Company to Harvest Partners. Riverside took Dwyer private in 2003 and then reacquired the franchising group in 2014.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Dwyer Group management team," said Steve Eisenstein, partner at Harvest Partners. “We look forward to providing additional financial and strategic resources to help them further build on their market leader status in the service franchise category.”
