Burger King Franchisee's Mansion Featured as Pricey Buy

Gresham House, a historic 8,000 sq. ft. mansion on 1.5 acres in Richmond, Virginia, was purchased by a local multi-unit Burger King franchisee and his wife for $1.3 million.

A Ginter Park mansion built for a granite magnate and on the market for more than a year was among the five priciest home sales in the Richmond area last month.

…John Naparlo is a Burger King franchisee with Williamsburg-based N&R Dining and MHF Dining, which operate 15 restaurants in Virginia and North Carolina, according to his LinkedIn page. Jackie Naparlo is a booking and marketing director with SMG Worldwide Entertainment.

…Built in 1906 for granite magnate Thomas Gresham, the six-bedroom, 4½-bathroom house features four two-story monolithic [granite] columns in the front, oversized windows, and 14 rooms across three stories. While granite and stonework dominate the exterior, the interior features hardwood floors and accents, a grand wooden staircase that snakes up three floors, six fireplaces, two parlors, a library, a conservatory and a third-floor billiards room. — Jonathan Spiers, Richmond BizSense
