McDonalds Commemorative Election Burger

In a show of support and urged on by the Australian franchisee community, McDonalds outlets in Queensland named their newest burger after their favorite Federal Minister.

Angus BurgerBut sales of the Emerson Burger didn’t take off.  In a courageous marketing move McDonalds changed the burger’s name mid-election.

Asked if the makeup of the burger had changed one shy franchisee commented;

Nah, not at all. The original Emerson was packed with what you would expect. There is no difference between the Emerson and the Anus.

I drove out to pay homage to the Emerson defacto but it was gone.  I was told by locals that in all there were 3 of these signs erected.
