This Week Is Small Business Week

National Small Business Week kicked off today, Sunday, May 5, to run though Saturday, the 11th. Sunday's events included awards to the Jody C. Raskind Lender of the Year and the Small Business Investment Company of the Year. Some of the others were the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Excellence and Innovation Award, the Veterans Business Outreach Excellence in Service Award, the Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award and the SCORE Chapter of the Year.

All events can be seen on the SBA’s Facebook page. A Social Media Tips for Your Small Business Workshop will be at 10:30 am ET on Monday, followed by the announcement later in the day of the 2019 Small Business Person of the Year winner, who has been selected from among the Small Business Person of the Year winners from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

A free, two-day conference is slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 7 and 8.
