Nutcracker Accepting Toys for Tots Donations

DAYTON, OH (December 2, 2009) - Families attending this year’s Schuster Center performance of the Nutcracker can leave a little something behind for Dayton area children this December. The Schuster Center is asking patrons to show their support for Dayton area children by bringing donations of new, unwrapped toys to the door before select performances of the Nutcracker.

Marines from the Dayton, OH chapter of the Toys for Tots Foundation will be accepting toy donations at the Schuster Center entrance on December 11, 12, 18, and 19 from 6:30-8:30 pm before each performance.

The Toys for Tots Foundation has been giving joy and hope to economically disadvantaged children through the gift of a new toy during the holiday season for over 60 years. Each chapter of the organization relies heavily on local donations. The Dayton area Toys for Tots chapter distributed over 30,000 toys to Dayton area families in need last year.
