Budget Blinds Sells Its Thousandth Franchise

ORANGE, Calif. –Custom window covering franchisor Budget Blinds says it has sold its one thousandth franchise license.

The thousandth license was sold in June to Roberto Ordaz and Marlene Alvarado, both new to the franchise system. It will cover the territory surrounding Mission, Texas. The two are in-laws. Alvardo moved to the United States from Mexico. Ordaz received his master's degree at Babson College in Boston and relocated to Texas to pursue franchise ownership.

"We came to the United States looking for an opportunity to become business owners," says Alvarado. "The Budget Blinds franchise system provides us with the independence we were looking for while supporting us with a strong track record of success and proven method of results."

To date, Budget Blinds has 899 franchise territories located in the United States and 102 in Canada.

"When we founded Budget Blinds in 1992 my partners and I set a goal to sell 1,500 territory licenses. It's the hard work of our franchisees that continues to get us closer to that goal and we're thankful for the dedication and hard work of each and every one of them across North America," says Chad Hallock, co-founder and CEO of Home Franchise Concepts.
