Lexington Opens First Construction Property

CLEVELAND – Lexington by Vantage, a collection of inns, hotels and suites in the midscale to upscale lodging segments, announced on Wednesday the opening of the brand's first new construction property, the Lexington Inn & Suites in Effingham, Illinois.

It uses elements of Lexington's prototype, which four-story hotel features 61 guestrooms and suites, a heated indoor pool, sauna, fitness room, guest sundry, business center and meeting facilities.

The property was recently unveiled to the public during a grand opening ceremony and reception that included Effingham Mayor Jeff Bloemker, the chamber of commerce and Mark Williams, the Group President of Vantage Hospitality's Upscale Brands.

"This hotel is a prime example of Lexington's flexible new construction program. The owners originally had a different design concept, but then changed many key elements to emulate the Lexington prototype," said Williams.

The property's owners, Bhanumati and Kanaiyalal Shah, have owned a property under a Vantage Hospitality brand since 2011, and chose to expand their portfolio by staying in the Vantage family. "Nothing makes us prouder than when a hotelier is so satisfied with our contribution to their business that they entrust such a second valuable asset to us," added Williams.
